The first step in obtaining a medical marijuana card is receiving an evaluation from a qualifying physician. During the evaluation, the physician will examine your medical history and ask questions to better understand your condition and whether you are eligible for medical cannabis.
If you’re approved by the practitioner, they will issue an MMJ recommendation following this evaluation. Ultimately, you can't get a med card without this recommendation.
