Qualifying conditions for medical marijuana in Florida include:

  • AIDS/HIV

  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease)

  • Cancer

  • Crohn’s Disease

  • Epilepsy

  • Glaucoma

  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Medical conditions of the same kind or class as or comparable to those listed above

  • A terminal condition diagnosed by a physician other than the physician issuing the certification

  • Florida law allows licensed physicians to recommend medical marijuana for conditions comparable to those listed or if they believe the patient will benefit from its use. This includes unlisted conditions that may still qualify.
