In Texas, medical marijuana patients do not have a set possession limit measured in ounces or grams. Instead, the state regulates medical cannabis through THC concentration and physician prescriptions. Under the Compassionate Use Program, all products must contain 1% THC or less by weight, and patients may only possess the amount specifically prescribed to them by their registered physician. That prescription is entered into the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT), and dispensaries dispense exactly what is authorized.
