Every Pennsylvania resident must first get a valid background check before becoming a caregiver. If a criminal history appears, it shall be thoroughly reviewed before approval. Those applicants who've been convicted of criminal charges regarding the sale or possession of scheduled substances within the past five years will not be approved.
